About Jacqueline

I am a nature reconnection guide, ritual facilitator, tantra and sexuality educator, and songwriter. My specialty is in crafting meaning journeys and experiences that help my community attune to nature’s rhythms, live with soul and purpose, and come home to their sensual bodies and creative potential.

The Wild and the Erotic are the threads that are woven into everything I do here at Wild Wayfarer.

I believe that we are not just connected with Nature, but one and the same with it. Every program I offer is crafted with this in mind. Our deepest healing can be found in our embodied belonging to Earth, just as Nature’s healing can be found in us humans recognizing that what we do to her, we do to ourselves.

I also believe that the Erotic is an antidote to many of the challenges of our times (individually and as a culture), and a path to living the fullest and most honest lives we can live. Contrary to pop narratives—which portray “erotic” as pornographic and purely sexual—Eros is our capacity to touch and be touched by the world around us; our ability to be in direct relationship with this experience of life. It lives in the unbound expression of our creations, a force that drives life itself forward, in an ever-diversifying dance of creation and erosion.

I believe that our relationship with Eros and the Wild is what encourages us to turn toward life, dance with it, and respond to our sensations and experiences from a place of authenticity. In a consumer culture of individualism where so many of us struggle with isolation, distraction, overstimulation, disconnection, numbness and depletion... these forces are our medicine.

So that we might live a full, creative, and connected life. One that is built upon authenticity and alignment, so that we might imagine a different way of being in the world. A way in which we can turn toward—not away from—life itself.

My Background

I have been studying the human-nature relationship ever since I was a teenager, when a Sonoran desert sunrise triggered an eco-awakening that shaped my life path. Along that path, I grew obsessively interested in Eros through the lense of Nature, creativity and wildness, eventually landing me with a bookshelf full of books on the topic and my current enrollment in the Institute of Authentic Tantra Education, pursuing a masters in sexology and Tantra.

Drawing from my professional history as a wilderness guide, outdoor educator, horticultural therapy guide, yoga instructor, herbalist, songwriter, and performer, Wild Wayfarer weaves wilderness, wildness, tantric/sexuality studies and creative expression into the journeys that I craft for others.

I am also a professional songwriter and performer through both my solo project, Jacqueline Marie, and my band Sleep Stampede. I am, above all else, a creative woman who simply cannot help but to craft community gatherings, songs, and the occasional knitted beanie.

Nature, Creativity and Eros are my unique paths to self-actualization. My personal journey has—and continues to be—one that requires me to embrace the taboo, become the seasons, and create from my deepest inner wells. This personal journey influences what I teach and offer here.
